The Futures Collaborative

We are a collective of designers, futurists, strategists, facilitators, and coaches committed to helping organizations, communities, and individuals understand, embrace, and work with the uncertainties of a rapidly changing world. Our goal is to build our collective capacity to create a future in which all can thrive.

As many of us have been or are educators - among us are a former high school teacher, college professors, a former college dean, a learning scientist, and a university board member - our first newsletter, Learning Futures, focuses on understanding what the world might be twelve years from now, when today's kindergartners graduate high school, so we can re-imagine education today.

Our aim is not to predict the exact future, but to understand the technological, social, and environmental factors driving change, and how they might interact to re-shape the world.  This exploration will help us imagine possible futures and plan how to best prepare our students for them.
